Some Points about the academy

  • The Volleyball Elite Academy has grown by word of mouth and through a developed digital media advertising campaign.   Word of mouth is still the king of advertising so if you know of a young volleyball player (grade 4-7) or basketball player (grade 6-12) tell them about the academy and help us grow.
  • The academies are only as good as their coaches so we are always seeking good mature coaches who have worked with the targeted age group of the academies, again if you know of some talented coach let them know about us.
  • Suggestions and comments are always welcome and we will continue to take them seriously as we continue to grow.  We will make mistakes but will always attempt to grow from them.
  • Register early for sessions as we did have to turn interested people away due to a large number of people attempting to register for the volleyball sessions.
  • Participants of all skill levels and gender can come to the same sessions as each will take something different away as they will all be at different skill levels.
  • We do not run or recruit players for teams and will not be recruiting athletes to play for the Elite academy.  (Beach volleyball has a unique setup as it trains doubles teams to play in tournaments but the teams are not built by the academy)
  • We try to stay away from the politics of sports, tryouts and formal play situations and more strive to put the fun back into skill training and the game.
  • Our goal is to pay coaches, cover gym costs and administration costs to run the academy and offer the cheapest sessions possible.  Suggestions and comments to continue to strive towards this goal are always welcome.

Poster from 2017

The following was the first poster designed for the academy in 2017 and it is still a goal we are working towards.

2020 What's new for this Year

From the inception of the Canadian Elite Academy, the design was to create a system under which any sport, art, music, drama or academic skill training can be done.

The last three years have been a process of developing a system and community in which the realization of the motto “Taking your skills to the next level”.  The Volleyball Elite Academy was the first of the academies and was used as a test sport and has grown into a product that has been challenging for myself as the developer and for the parents, guardians, and participants as we worked the kinks out of the system.  Thank you for your patience and support during this development time.  We now have a system that will continue to improve but has made it possible to start to introduce new academies.  The Youth Volleyball academy and the Basketball academy have coaches in place and now just needs to be advertised and adopted by the community so it reaches the same standard as the volleyball academy currently functions.
With the system in place, it is now possible to introduce new academies based on my ability to find appropriate coaches or instructors.  So, stay tuned for new academies during this new year as we hope to continue to grow, develop and progress.   If you would like to run an academy under the Canadian Elite Academy umbrella it is possible just contact us and if it fits under the philosophy of the academy anything is possible.

The Youth Elite Academy

The Youth Elite Academy will be offering sessions in January.  This academy is designed for the beginner volleyball players to grade 4-7.  These athlete ages are not written in stone and if you are younger or older than these grades and think you would benefit from the sessions feel free to register.  The youth academy will be a great way for interested athletes to get started in volleyball.   Sessions are only one hour long.  Plan to register early as there are a limited number of spaces in each session.

Basketball Elite Academy

The Basketball Elite Academy will be offering sessions for the first time in January,  We are excited to welcome the coaches who have showed interested in being involved in offering sessions.  There has been a lot of pre-launch interest in this academy and we will be excited to grow it into an academy like the volleyball academy.  The levels in the Basketball Elite Academy will be the same as the Volleyball academy.
