Exciting Changes for January, February, and March

The Canadian Elite Academy is starting 2025 with a refreshed approach! Our focus for the first quarter of the year is on bigger gym spaces, enabling us to host larger sessions and run multiple courts simultaneously. This adjustment provides more flexibility and accommodates more athletes per session, enhancing both individual and group training opportunities.

We are thrilled to announce that many sessions will be held at St. Joseph High School, which features a spacious gym configurable into a four-court setup. This venue allows us to offer a wider range of training options and activities to meet the needs of our athletes.

January 11: Elite 1 and Elite 2 Evaluation Training Session

Our first session of the year is the Evaluation Training Session for prospective Elite 1 and Elite 2 players. This session provides:

  • An opportunity to train under the Academy’s head coach while being evaluated.

  • Assessments to determine eligibility for Elite 1 or Elite 2 status.

Key Details:

  • Elite 1 applicants must be at least 15 years old.

  • Elite 2 applicants can be younger than 15.

  • Athletes registering for the Evaluation Training Session will not receive a T-shirt. If you prefer a registration package that includes a T-shirt, you must select the evaluation-only option.

Benefits of Elite Status:

  • Access to exclusive Elite 1 and Elite 2 sessions.

  • Training with peers of similar skill and volleyball maturity.

  • Advanced practices and camps tailored to high-performance athletes.

Elite 1 is reserved for the top 20% of the Academy’s older athletes, while Elite 2 targets the top 20% of younger athletes. These distinctions ensure focused and advanced skill development.

Private and Team Lessons

New for 2025, we are offering private lessons for individuals or complete teams. Key Features:

Private Lessons:

  • One main athlete and up to five additional athletes.

  • The main athlete selects the session focus and may request a specific coach.

Team Lessons:

  • Includes the entire team and their coaches.

  • Team coaches determine the session’s focus and can request a specific Academy coach.

  • Sessions typically take place at the team’s regular practice gym.

Two private/team lesson slots are available on January 11, conducted by head coach Darren Cannell. These sessions are priced the same as individual private lessons, providing exceptional value for teams.
