Session Level: NexGen (Grades 6-8, Beginners)
Who is it for?
Focus: Introducing the fundamentals of volleyball, such as basic skills and game understanding.
Basic Volleyball Skills – Focus: Hitting
Session Type: Open
Session Level: Basic (Grades 7-10, Beginners with Some Experience)
Who is it for?
Athletes in Grades 7-10 with at least one year of organized volleyball team experience, OR
Completion of 5+ NexGen sessions, OR
Attendance at one four-day academy camp.
Session Focus: The main focus will be volleyball, but each coach will design the session to meet the volleyball needs of the registered group.
Intermediate Volleyball Skills – Focus: Hitting
Session Type: Open
Session Level: Intermediate (Grades 9-10, Experienced Players)
Who is it for?
Focus: Continuing skill development at a more competitive level. Sessions target athletes familiar with gameplay and strategy.
Session Focus: The main focus will be volleyball, but each coach will design the session to meet the volleyball needs of the registered group.
Advanced Volleyball Skills – Focus: Hitting
Session Type: Open
Session Level: Advanced (Grades 10-12, Competitive Players)
Who is it for?
Focus: Advanced skills, high-level competition, and preparation for elite performance.

Where the Best Become Unstoppable
This is not a session; this form will allow you to gain your Elite 1 or Elite 2 level status to attend Elite 1 or Elite 2 sessions. You cannot access Elite-level sessions without this status.

Elite 1 Eligibility & Experience:
Age Requirement: Are you between the ages of 15 and 18?
High School Volleyball: Have you played on your high school volleyball team every year since you started high school?
Club Volleyball: Have you played at least two years of club volleyball?
Academy Participation:
Have you attended a high school Making the Cut camp?
Have you participated in at least two years of the Academy beach volleyball program?
Have you attended more than ten skill sessions at the Canadian Elite Academy?
School Day Select: Were you selected as a School Day Select athlete?
Provincial Team: Have you been selected for a provincial team?
Elite 2 Eligibility & Experience:

High School Volleyball: Have you played on your high school volleyball team every year since you started high school?

Performance & Recognition for Elite Levels:
Volleyball Awards: What volleyball-related awards have you received? Please list any notable achievements.
Work Ethic & Integrity: Can you provide examples of how your work ethic and drive have been recognized in your athletic career?
Commitment to Volleyball: How do you balance school commitments with volleyball training? Describe how you maintain your performance in both areas.
Integrity & Teamwork: Can you provide an example of when your integrity or teamwork positively impacted your team?
School Grades: What was your average in your last completed school year?
If selected, you will receive a Canadian Elite Academy Select shirt, which you can pick up at your first Elite 1 or Elite 2 session. If you are not selected, you can apply the application fee to the next one-hour session you take at the academy.
