October sessions start this weekend!

October sessions start this weekend!

And just like that, September is done. Next week the twice-a-week month-long sessions begin. I have also noticed that some clubs are starting their club tryouts at the beginning of this month. Will you have made enough touches to be successful at the tryouts?

Last year we ran a four-day "Making the Club" camp, but with the earlier start to the club tryouts, that will not be possible. Due to this, my suggestion for the athlete who wants to increase their touches significantly before the tryout. Join one of the month-long sessions.
The month-long sessions
These happen twice a week (except for the Fundamental sessions on Sunday).

NexGen Fundamental Development

NexGen Fundamental sessions are two hours long and only happen once a week. It is an introduction to volleyball and fitness, agility and jump training. It is for athletes grades 4-8. Register if you are older or younger and will benefit from joining this session. All suggestions about the athlete's age are suggestions.

NexGen Setter Development

NexGen Setter Development sessions have been running for four months now and are sessions for anyone who wants to work on their overhand passing ability. Each player would benefit from a month in this session as it will allow volleyball athletes to understand better the setter position and what it entails.

Jump Training

The last of the month-long sessions are for everyone. Everyone who has decided to be a volleyball player should take this Jump training session.
It is an injury prevention session as the intense strain you put on your legs during volleyball results in many knee and ankle injuries. This session will help you handle this stress on the legs. It will also help increase your vertical jump, which will significantly increase your ability to jump serve, spike and block in the game.

In September, we had athletes who attended all four of these month-long sessions. The number of touches these athletes had during the month would have been second to none. But it was as much as three hours a day. I loved seeing the growth in these athletes.
Single Sessions

Skill Development Sessions

For those athletes with busy lives, maybe a twice-a-week plan will not work. We offer a series of basic and advanced skill sessions for these athletes. We attempted to get both levels of skill on the same day, which will allow athletes to attend both the basic and advanced sessions.

Private Sessions

We have private lessons for those multiple sports athletes or those still competing at school. The price for the private lessons allows as many as four athletes to attend. The main athlete coming to the session selects the desired topic and coach. If there is no private session on the schedule that works for you, suggest a time, and the coach and the academy will try to set one up.

Open Gym

In October, we have three open gym nights. Get your friends together and come out and play. No referee, no score, just play. Cheaper price!
