Some months we are happy volleyball is indoors!Welcome to Saskatchewan in the winter. Week two of November saw the weather change significantly. The weather caused us to reevaluate the chances of people being able to make sessions during snowstorms. Thank you to all who ventured out to the sessions in these driving conditions. The third week of November brings new sessions and exciting opportunities for athletes. We have our NexGen sessions, the Setters, Fundamentals and Libero, Hitters, the month-long serve training, both advanced and basic and the month-long jump train. Thank you so much to the coaches who have chosen to teach these subsequent GEN sessions as they have become trendy. However, it is not too late in the month to have new registrations if they are not full. I will adjust the price to allow athletes to register for them in November's last couple weeks. This week we have the single skill sessions as well, we have advanced and basic blocking sessions, and the same goes for serving sessions. Register early, as serving sessions are filling. Do not bypass the blocking session because you are a new player to volleyball, as blocking is often overlooked until athletes can get way above the net's height. The skills taught in the Blocking session will assist you in understanding net play as a new player and is a precious key to becoming a good volleyball player. We also have this week at that on Friday gameplay. Gameplay is becoming increasingly popular as athletes look for a location to try out the skills they are learning in the other sessions. Please register early to ensure we have enough coaches at the sessions to support the number of athletes. |
